The interior design of an apparel brand store that sells one-piece dresses for relaxation, based on the concept of the joy of aging.
The client, who enjoys collecting antiques, requested an ennui space, so we began work on the design.
The soft, flowing relaxation wear and the curtains that gently divide the space share the common theme of fabric, creating a harmonious blend between the architecture and the products.
When the curtains are bundled together, they tighten the space like a colonnade, and when spread out they act as a wall surrounding the fitting rooms.
Additionally, the placement of furniture and curtains was determined to create a flow that draws customers into the back of the store, creating a sense of depth in the limited space.
The lighting was dim overall, allowing the beautiful natural light coming through the windows, slightly obscured by the curtains, to shine in the space. This created an instinctively calming and comfortable space, evoking a morning where lethargy and freshness coexist.
In the soft light, the architecture, furniture, plants, and clothing all shimmer, and time flows differently for each. People stand silently, enveloped in that time. Visitors to this place will greet a languid and refreshing morning.
