Renovation of the interior of an apparel brand.
Inspired by the brand concept, we aimed to create a space that exudes elegance and movement through the various expressions of fabric.
The client, who enjoys collecting antique furniture, created a space where the items and the space complement each other by balancing the furniture he owns with the space.

Niijima Island in the Izu Islands is the only place in the world where fireproof stone with unique properties is mined.
However, fireproof stone buildings are disappearing at a rate of more than a dozen per year, and preservation efforts are not keeping up.
He plans to move to Niijima as a designer and renovate a vacant fireproof masonry house.

These shoes have shared many joys and sorrows with me as I have learned and experienced things with my own feet.
He wears out a pair of shoes that are sold anywhere, taking with him his memories, and then he uses a new pair of shoes, also sold anywhere, to patch up the wounds of his memories.
The location of the scars and stains left in various places record my life so far.

A chair made of fireproof stone bonded only with mortar.
By staying on the island, the students were able to observe the fireproof stones up close and gain an intuitive understanding of their characteristics.
The materials were donated to the island from stones that had been left unused for a long time, and he carried out the processing and assembly by himself using only a hand saw and trowel.
The island's treasures, left behind by the times, will change form, touch people once again, and one day return to the soil of Niijima.
